What is industrial hemp? It’s a crop unlike any other. Industrial hemp is a member of the Cannabis Sativa L plant family. Although hemp is related to marijuana, it is not pyschoactive and cannot produce the euphoria associated with it’s cousin. In fact, industrial hemp is known for many other reasons… food, fiber and fuel. Not only is hemp a sustainable crop, but an acre of hemp sequesters an est. 10 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere during it’s life cycle. Come to the hemp maze & breathe in the fresh air!

Join us for hemp education & learn more about efforts to reintroduce industrial hemp as a recognizable state crop. Workshops will be available during scheduled times.

NOTICE: This event is an argitourism study in partnership with the crop’s farmers, landowners and the Tennessee Hemp Industries Association. According to Tennessee state law, it is illegal to remove an plant material from the area without being a designated licensee of the state’s agricultural pilot program. A zero tolerance policy is in effect for unlawful conduct of any kind.
